Exterior - 11/02/05 Paint Job in a bottle

I had the car shipped from Tucson, Arizona to the Shipper’s hub location in Bristol, Pennsylvania. When I picked up the car it was so covered with Arizona dust that I couldn’t see through the windshield to drive it! I stopped at near by convenience store and bought a bottle of water and used napkins to clean the windshield. These photos were taken the next day after I gave the car its first bath and removed the damaged front spoiler.

The Arizona sun and dust oxidized the cars paint so severely I first assumed there was no saving it. To my amazement “3M Fine Cut Rubbing Compound” saved the day. It took several hours of buffing but the cars main body paint was salvageable. These two photos where taken halfway through the process.
